I am always a big fan of bold lip colors, and during the colder months I take full advantage of them! It seriously is becoming a problem how frequently I buy new lip products…fo realz. Since I love them so much I figured I would share some of my favorite festive ones! I have very high standards when it comes to these products so you can guarantee all of these are highly pigmented, won’t smear, and are very long lasting!
Benetint. This is by far the most subtle of all of these products so I wouldn’t necessarily say it is the most “festive” but I love it regardless! It adds such a simple flair to your look. Benetint is both a lip and cheek stain in a perfect berry color so it is a go-to, multi-purpose product for me! You can wear it lightly, or build it up for a darker shade.
Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw. This absolutely screams Christmas. I save this one for special occasions because this is BOLD baby. This bright red lipstick has my favorite formula by far. I plan on picking up more shades. This goes on like a gloss making it super easy to apply neatly (or clean up any errors) but dries almost instantly to a matte finish (my favorite!) that will not budge. This one ain’t going anywhere once you apply it! With most of these lip products I wait about 30 minutes before eating or drinking anything, but this one is ready to go from the first second (and doesn’t ever get on your teeth! Woot woot!)!
Maybelline Color Sensation in 410 Blissful Berry. This color is slightly more sheer and glossy than the others so it coordinates with almost everything. Not to mention, it is easy to find and easy on the wallet! Gotta love Maybelline!
Hourglass Liquid Lipstick in Icon. This has been a recent go-to for weddings because I love the shade and I don’t have to re-apply it during the day! This one is a little sticky going on but once it dries it has a beautiful matte finish that keeps your lips looking well hydrated. I love that it is a red pop without being too orange-y.
Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Matte Lip Tar in Black Dahlia. Yes the word “tar” sounds scary, and that’s pretty much what it looks like in the tube. I’m not quite sure how to explain the formula but it is best applied with a brush. It dries almost like a stain but has the finish of a gloss (but not sticky), even when completely dry. This along with many others featured in this post came in THIS sample kit. I thought there would never be a day when I would be brave enough to try it out. I decided it was worth a shot, considering it was a Sephora best seller. I put it on one night right before washing my makeup off just to see what it was like. I am so happy that I did because I love it! I t is still pretty bold so I don’t wear it quite as frequently as some of the others, but when I do, I love the pop it gives.
Kimmel London Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate Moss in 107. This is a tried and true product for me and it has always proven faithful! First of all, who isn’t a sucker for a lipstick that smells like vanilla? It is a little dry when applying but it is a beautiful shade and stays put all day!
Hope you enjoyed this post and that you find some new favorites from it!
