May, you sure were sweet.
This month has been such a fun one and (while it’s a little belated) I’m excited to share a few things I loved this month!
Arby’s Orange Cream Shake
It seems only fitting to start with the most important. This shake is life changing.
Banana Oat Pancakes
While we are on a food kick let’s just keep on going. . . I’ve been making banana oat pancakes several times a week since going Gluten Free and they are easy, quick, and satisfy my craving for carbs in the morning. I mash one ripe banana, mix it with two eggs, about a half cup of oats, a small dash of cinnamon and vanilla and then I fry it up like a regular pancake.
Udi’s Gluten Free Blueberry Muffins
These are my late night desert craving savior! So so yummy warmed up with a pat of butter!
Walking around our neighborhood.
We live in an area surrounded with tons of fun restaurants and shops! When we moved in in the winter I imagined days like these and I am counting my blessings now that it’s getting warmer out! So thankful for sweet weekends with my man.
Visiting Magnolia
The mothership. Need I saw more? I can’t believe my work allowed me to go visit the home of my girl JOJO! Brianne invited me to come speak at & photograph her amazing retreat and I was SO in the second she sent the email! The whole place was so incredible and inspiring, I may just have to write a whole post about it!
The start of wedding season!
This month kicked off our official wedding season and we dove head first with a double header wedding day! Our team of 5 shot two different weddings on two different sides of the state on the same day. It was crazy and the best all at the same time! We also had 2 styled shoots, our start of the season dinner, our team training day, and welcomed our new summer intern, Courtney! We love her to pieces already!! Work this month has been filled with so many joys and so. much. gear.
Speaking of weddings – I’m constantly on the hunt for the *right* pair of wedding day shoes. 12+ hours on my feet + all that gear I mentioned means shoes are basically disposable for me. I haven’t had a pair I’ve loved in a few seasons and this year I may have hit the jackpot! So far they have served me WELL for two wedding days, I’ll keep you guys updated!
Reading
This month Dan and I decided to cut back on TV watching and trade it for reading. We just keep saying how much it slows down time. When we watch TV it feels like the evening flies by, but when we read it feels like we have a whole evening to enjoy and are more rejuvenated for the next day. This means I’ve been flying through books and I’m loving it! I LOVED this fiction book this month, and this non-fiction book had me thinking for weeks after.
Hold up. If you drink any sort of cream in your coffee this will be the best $10 you spend all year. Trust me.
This podcast is like a cool drink of water. I quite literally can’t get enough. The episodes are short, poignant, and soothing. It is all about making decisions, but more so than making a good decision it’s about living a life that lends to being a soulful decision maker. You need this in your life. I just started her audiobook and can’t wait to dig in.
The Bachelorette
Because I reserve the right to talk about soulful decision making and trashy TV in the same blog post, okay? Let’s be real. I just love this show and it doesn’t matter who the contestant is – Dan and I will watch every single episode.
I did something new this month and launched an online shop! So umm… that’s pretty fun!!! I love putting together free resources for business owners and decided to kick it up a notch! My first product is designed to help you track metrics and if you want to learn all about it you can check it out here!
