Day to Night Midi Dress

Over the past year or so I’ve been working on trying to define my style a little more specifically and shop for pieces that are more versatile. I would rather own a few pieces that I love and can style multiple different ways, than more clothes that can only be worn one way. I am over buying pieces that need just the *right* thing to go with it, the *right* undergarments, the *right* alterations, or the *right* reason to wear it. When I buy clothes with a contingency they always end up in the back of my closet never to get their moment.

That said, when I find a piece that hits all the marks I can buy it confidently knowing I will get my wear out of it. I want things that are a timeless style, make me feel my best, aren’t fussy, and can be worn numerous ways. This dress, hit’s all those marks.

I don’t usually go for a slip style dress (not my favorite for my body type) but this one quickly won me over. The fit and structure of the dress is flattering and shapely, but not clingy. It is fully lined and the fabric is soft and stretchy so it just hangs perfectly. It is also SO COMFORTABLE.

You all know my love of easy summer dresses and this one is truly so versatile! For daytime I’ve been wearing it with converse or sandals to run errands, meet friends, or work from a coffee shop. I am a big believer in wearing things that make you happy and a dress on a weekday most certainly does!

For nighttime I’ll throw on a pair of heels and grab an oversized clutch. This has been my go-to for date nights as of late. Throw on a bold lipstick if you really want to jazz things up!
