Back again with how I’m styling overalls for the fall! Last summer I purchased these Madewell overalls after MUCH contemplation on if I’d get enough wear out of them! Turns out – worth every penny! I wear them all year round! This year I’ve been sharing a post sharing how I am styling them for each season so here we are with fall! You can read all about why I love this pair of overalls in particular, why they are worth the money, and sizing details in my first post – Summertime in Overalls. Then you can see how I styled them for spring in the post Springtime in Overalls. As for today, let’s talk about Fall!
One thing I love about these overalls is how they are perfect for layering. Because they are a baggier style I like to pair them with pieces that add shape and structure like a fitted shirt and jacket. This is what carries me through the colder months of fall and winter.
This fitted stripped t-shirt has become a closet staple of mine. I wear it multiple times a week! It is a thicker fabric so it is smoothing and not sheer at all (my biggest pet peeve in a white shirt).
Ya’ll know how much I love my sweater blazer! I’m convinced everyone needs one in their closet and like the striped tee, I wear it multiple times a week! Anytime I need to add a layer I grab this! I brought it to every wedding this summer and threw it on in the late hours of the reception. Now that the temps are dropping I wear it with a solid t shirt and jeans, over casual dresses, or as a coat. I can’t get enough!
I love these weaved mules. They go with everything and are a great price point! Like I’ve shared in past posts, I also wear my overalls with my Royale flats all the time! As usual, I’m also wearing my favorite red lipstick because I’m convinced every outfit needs it.
