This year I had an idea in my head of how I wanted my gift wrapping to look. I have never put this much effort into wrapping presents and goodness knows this is why! Ya’ll should have seen me wrapping these gifts! Since clearly I am such an expert I thought I would teach you how to ridiculously wrap gifts! Ha!
Step 1. Order prints from Artifact Uprising because they are the best (imho) and you are willing to spend waaaaaayyy to much on shipping to have pictures on the front of the boxes. Logical.
step 2. Go on a scavenger hunt for boxes because for pinterest worthy packages no bags are allowed!
Step 3. Wrap them all in extremely thick craft paper, because craft paper is trendy and no excessive amount of tape (necessary for holding the thick paper together) will ruin the trendiness. #yup.
Step 4. Remember that the tree branches you wanted to use are outside where it is now snowing, so use a dish cloth to dry them off. #worthit.
Step 5. Cut a million pieces of ribbon too short. Measuring is for losers.
Step 6. Spell your sister Audrey’s name “Aurdey” in calligraphy but make sure to be too short on gift tags to make her a new one. Aurdey it is.
Step 7. Spend so much time focused on wrapping gifts that your coffee gets cold and you can’t heat it up because the adorable mug you put it in (because it needed to match the gift wrap) isn’t microwave safe. But the mug coordinates!! So ha!!
Step 8. Put a tiny gift in a massive box because you don’t have a small box and must I remind you, boxes only!
Step 5. Stack the boxes up to take a cute picture and knock several decorations off the bottom box.
Step 7. Place them adorably under the tree for your dog to paw and and try to eat.
Step 8. Realize you forgot to put part of “Aurdey”‘s gift in the box. #yup.
Did I mention all of this was taking place while my camera tripod was balanced with an ottoman so that I could get these pictures? Not to mention my camera remote was being glitchy so it took me about double the time to get the pictures. In case you thought I was kidding…
There ya have it folks! Take a lesson from me, it ain’t worth it.
