Oh sweet Creative @ Heart, how I want to be back!
I can say with no hesitation that attending the Creative @ Heart conference in 2015 was one of the very best investments I’ve ever made into my business. Kat does a phenomenal job lining up speakers and creating a one of a kind environment. I’ve never attended a conference that is so well rounded. The perfect mix of personal and in depth, while being jam packed with information and education.
After attending Creative @ Heart for the first time I thought about it almost every single day throughout the following year. I constantly was implementing things into my business that I had learned, and found a sweet home in the group of women I was able to connect with. I have been so thankful to get to know Kat and was thrilled when she asked me to come back as an alumni volunteer!
All of the AMAZING images from this post are by Holly Felts. She is so incredibly talented and my new bestie. Thanks for doing such a beautiful job capturing the conference Holly!!
This round took place at the beautiful Merrimon-Wynne House in Raleigh North Carolina. It. was. stunning. I basically wanted to move in. The first night we had a wonderful welcome party! We were able to meet and chat with the attendees. I LOVED this addition to the schedule (as well as the extra day!) because I was able to get to know the other people a bit better and build relationships that will last! On day 1 Kat pulled out an amazing surprise and brought Lara Casey to the floor as a keynote speaker. If you know me at all you know I’m obsessed with her, and I freaked. out. when I heard she would be there. As always, Lara was polished, impactful, and did a phenomenal job kicking things off! Ashlyn spoke on copywriting and killed. it. Check out her blog for amazing resources! I couldn’t get enough of Jesse & Becky of Idealust! They are charming, wise, and so gifted at public speaking!
This girl. The way she has put Creative @ Heart together tells you a lot about how wonderful Kat is, but nothing is like talking to her in person and hearing her speak. She has one of the kindest and most genuine hearts and cares so deeply about people and everything she does. She is intentional with every decision and is strong, hard working, and inspirational. Love you girl!!
I LOVED the breakout sessions! Graham Cochrane is a business GENIUS (as is his fabulous wife!). Their breakout session on passive income was one of the most mind blowing things I’ve heard in a looong time. If you ever get the chance to absorb any of this power-couples knowledge, DO IT.
Abby spoke on emailing like a boss and was FULL of helpful practical tips to navigate this tricky, but important part of business!
Shanna’s talk on Money Mindsets was one of my favorites of the conference. She shared insight into how to approach money management from a totally different perspective! It definitely left me thinking! I love the panel groups because they allow you to connect directly with people straight from your industry. Krista, Ashley, and Anna did a wonderful job leading our group! And of course they kept us well caffeinated with a coffee bar from The Green Cupboard. Suzie was one of my sweet roommates and I loved getting to know her!
And there was a pajama party! I could not have been more happy.
That’s all for now folks, if you need me I’ll be day dreaming about my next chance to be at Creative!
