Get ready for the easiest DIY of your life! I am all about that liquid stitch and if I can avoid sewing anything I will! I love sewing, I do, just not for simple crafts.
Actually I am just terrible at sewing.
The truth comes out. For this project you will need:
-1 yard of any fabric you like
-16 gauge wire (but most wire’s will do)
-sewing glue
-scissors and wire cutters
Step 1: Cut your fabric into strips that are 30 to 35 inches long and 4 to 5 inches thick. You can vary the lengths and thicknesses based on your preference. The blue headband was 30in long and 5in wide. The grey and yellow were both 35in long and 4in wide. Step 2: Iron (ha! no sewing!) the ends into a triangle, and the sides down. This will prevent the edges from fraying and make it look nice and neat! Step 3: Fold over the ends of the wire so that it isn’t pokey and place the wire in the center of the fabric. Put glue along one edge (and a drop on the end of the wire) and fold the fabric in half! Let it dry over night and you are done! Easy as pie!
These are perfect for summer (please..get..here..soon..) and you can style them so many different ways! With the longer ones I love folding the ends in half and tucking them in so it looks like a little bow! Here are the 3 different headbands I made!
