Earlier this year Jeff Manion of Ada Bible Church released his new book titled, “Dream Big, Think Small”, along with his book he wrote a six week sermon series. This teaching surrounded the idea of slow and steady faithfulness. It dealt with working hard and diligently, showing up over a long period of time, and resisting the appealing nature of instant gratification. In my opinion, it was groundbreaking. I believe this topic is something so many more people (especially from my generation) need to talk about more! As he says in his book “Faithfulness in the small things is what best expresses our love for God”.
When I finished the book, I knew it was something I wanted to share about here!
The book is designed to be read 5 days a week for 6 weeks. The short chapters deal with topics like balancing rest and work, giving your all, and how little by little it adds up. His easy-to-read writing style matched with his wisdom makes this a must read (and listen!)
Whether you are feeling like life is rushing you by without you knowing how to slow it down, or like life is crawling by and you are barely progressing towards any sort of goal, this may need to be your next step.
Don’t hesitate to order the book and check out the series here! I can’t recommend it enough!
“Life is built from small steps, taken repeatedly, in the Holy direction” – Jeff Manion
