I am all about the messy bun, all day every day. The dutch braid in this look adds a little twist so it makes you look like you put effort in!Start by separating your bangs and pin them out of the way. Take s piece of hair close to your roots, split it into three pieces, and begin dutch braiding. This is the same as a normal french braid but instead of crossing over, you are crossing under. Gather little pieces from you head and add them in each time you cross under. When you get down past your ear unpin your bangs. Grab a piece from the bottom of your bangs and braid that in. Keep adding pieces from your bangs working from the bottom up until you have added all of the pieces. At this point stop adding pieces when you braid, and just finish the braid as normal. Hold on to the end of the braid with one hand and start to pull apart. Try to pull each section up, rather than out. This will help make the braid look thick and chunky.
….how horrible of a word is chunky?
(excuse the pictures being a little out of focus, using a remote and self timer is hard ya’ll)
Pull the braid to the back of your head (you can leave it half back if you prefer, or continue) and pull the remainder of your hair into a messy bun. Ta da!
I made a pin-able verson as well, if you choose to pin it to your pinterest! Woot woot!
