When asked how I learned how to run a business I often respond “I went to the University of Google”. Not kidding! People often give me a look for not going to college, but I am all about the amount of free accessible education there is today! When I started I had more questions than I could count and found several bloggers who acted as a “big sister” in business. Lauren Hooker of Elle & Company
I can’t imagine any other way to start this post than with Lauren. She is a sweet friend of mine, and also a straight up genius. Her education blog took off and has been featured on Entrepenuer.com and Buzzfeed. Her posts about business, blogging, and branding have been invaluable to me! Lauren also hosts weekly webinars called Ellechats that you won’t want to miss!

In my first year of wedding photography almost everything I googled I searched with the tag “Katelyn James”. If I was asking, she probably had a post answering! She has amazing advice for photographers, but also a broader range of small business owners! I had the privilege of meeting her and hearing her speak at Creative @ Heart a few years back and ya’ll, if you ever have the chance to hear her speak…take it.

Nancy is also a photographer, but her business is unique in that she runs a small team of ladies who all work under her name. They are incredibly talented, and her personal branding makes you feel like friends! Nancy has GREAT posts about running a team, and organization in business (and life!) that I have gleaned so much from!

Jenna is the friend who in a single blog post or podcast will give you a hug and a smack on the head. She is full of game changing knowledge, but presents it in a way that is warm and kind hearted! With blog posts 5 days a week, you are bound to learn something new every time you check in! You also need her podcast in your life. Just saying.
