I love when the first of the month is a Monday.
‘January & February kind of blended together for me but I feel like the winter is actually going – dare I say – quickly! I just shared my January favorites HERE so here are a couple new things I discovered in February.
The Freedom of Simplicity
This book is rocking my world! Richard Foster tackles the challenge of living in a material world with a Kingdom Mindset. Are we called to minimalism? Or are we called to acquire and possess all we possibly can? He handles this topic with such wisdom and grace. I have been listening to it through the library app and keep pausing/replaying sections to take notes on my phone. I say this about every Richard Foster book but – everyone should read this!!
Dwell App | Attend Lent Devotional
My sister Allie gave me a subscription to the Dwell app for Christmas (what a good gift idea, right??). It is an audio Bible app that is amazing! You can select your reader, version of the text, background music, etc. There are playlists of scripture, ones designed to help you fall asleep, reading plans – tons of options! I have loved using it the past few months and this month I joined a devotional they are running through this Lent season. It is truly amazing! It is worth getting the app just to have access through Lent!
Naptime Kitchen Honey Butter Chicken
I loved following Naptime Kitchen for a long time but this was actually my first time trying one of her recipes. Ummm what was I doing?? This recipe immediately got put on our weekly rotation list. It is easy and absolutely delicious! I don’t normally like curry flavor but in this it’s perfect! I’m actually planning to make it for dinner tonight!
The Crew | Netflix Sitcom
Okay first – I googled “sitcom” to make sure I was spelling it correctly. Did you know that sitcom’s definition is “a comedy situation”. 😂 I don’t know why I found that so funny, but there is your fun fact for the day!
Anyway, it’s been a bit since Dan and I have watched a good comedy (well…really anything lighthearted) and we are LOVING this. It reminds me a lot of Last Man Standing which is one of my favorite shows! It follows a NASCAR team who is struggling to stay afloat when ownership gets handed over to a young gal fresh from Silicon Valley. She starts changing things up and disrupting the good ol’ boys club. All the characters are lovable and hilarious!
Skin Care Routine
I’ve already done a whole post on this, but truly it is a favorite this month!
