I don’t know about you but blow drying your own hair feels like one of those skills girls are supposed to be born just KNOWING how to do…but it’s actually really hard!! My mom is the pro at it and round brushes her hair every single morning! I used to occasionally have her do mine in high school and it was my favorite thing! Anyway, most of my life I’ve just let my hair air dry but when I cut it short this January I knew it was time I finally learned. It took a little practice but turns out it’s not NEARLY as hard as it seems! 10 minutes and you’ve got yourself feeling salon fresh! It’s game changing!

Step 1: Right out of the shower I apply leave in conditioner and hair oil. I get mine at a salon, but here are links to what I use. Hair oil, Leave in spray.
Step 2: Let your hair air dry most of the way. I prefer to do this so that I don’t end up using as much damaging heat.
Step 3: Blow dry upside down with the nozzle focusing on your roots, we will get to the middle and end later.
Step 4: Round brush a small section of hair, using your hand on top to guide it. Spin/rotate the brush down as you pull away from your head.
Step 5: Do the same thing but with the blow dryer. Place a small section of hair on the brush, aim the blow dryer nozzle on top of the hair down towards the brush. Slowly pull the brush and your hair away from your head while spinning the brush to curl it under by the ends.
Step 6: Brush through with your hands again
Repeat!
Face frames/bangs: when you get to the sections in front wrap them around the brush going AWAY from your face (rather than under). Pull the brush forward and then back as you blow dry.
From the time I start blow drying it takes me about 10 minutes to complete and lasts me for most of the week! I try not to do it more than once a week because I don’t want the heat to damage my hair. Turns out, it’s way easier to get a good blow out than I thought!
