Hey Friends!
I thought I would stop in today to share a few things I am loving right now!
How? Why has it taken me this long to learn Illustrator? I am a Photoshop girl through and through, but let me make one thing clear, I’ve never actually liked Photoshop. It does things that are magical, but only if you are smart enough and have the time to make them happen. While it does what I need it to for photos, I’ve never liked it for graphics. Thanks to Emily’s Simplified classes I have been able to easily pick up Illustrator and it is a total game changer! Within the first few weeks of using it I had a new hobby and was dreaming big!
I mentioned these in my “goals” blog post…and in every conversation I’ve had with anyone in the last 4 weeks. Get’em people.
The Crown
I may be late to the party on this one but I am deep into the binge-ing of this Netflix series. So. Good. Start it now. If you liked Downton Abbey (even if you weren’t thrilled by the moral decline of the plot) this one’s for you! (Disclaimer: I’m only speaking from the first half of the season).
Okay so I’m late to the party on this one too. I know the Kindle App has been around forever but I’ve never like reading on my phone. I recently download “Grace Not Perfection” on it (because it was on sale, holla!) and I have loved having a book with me all the time! If I have a spare moment anywhere, rather than scrolling through social media, I can quickly read a few pages! I am flying through this book and I think being able to read it anywhere is a big reason why!
I remember my Mom reading this book while I was growing up and thinking it was weird that she was actually studying gems…turns out it’s actually about scripture! I borrowed this book from her after Jess Conley mentioned it on her Instagram Story and I have been LOVING it. If you are looking for a devotional for the New Year check it out! It takes verses and walks you through what they meant in the original Greek text. Looking at each word this way is incredibly powerful and brings new depth and meaning to verses I’ve heard throughout my life.
Because I love me a good pen. Half marker, half pen. It’s great.
