Easy Midi Dress

Happy Wednesday friends! This outfit post makes me happy because we took these photos after CHURCH on Sunday. In person and everything!! What a blessing it was to gather with believers and worship our Father. There truly has been a gap in our lives in this area the last few months (online just isn’t the same) and Dan and I felt comfortable with the decision to return, and I’m so glad we did. This year has given me an increased appreciation for the church and the body of Christ gathering together (in whatever form it may look like).

Also, this is the first time Dan has ever taken blog photos for me! We have been together nearly 5 years and it is RARE that I ask him to take a quick photo on my phone for Instagram, but I’ve never had him take actual post photos for me. (Meg gets all the credit for blog photos!) It happened to work out on Sunday and he was such a good sport. He’s been asking all week when I’m going to post them, so I’m taking that as a sign that he didn’t hate it and I miiiight even get him to do it again sometime?

Now let’s talk about this dress because it’s currently my favorite thing to wear. I’ve worn it pretty much every other day (alternating with pajamas) since buying it. I love midi dresses because they are comfortable, low effort, and make me feel put together. I was instantly drawn to the color of this dress 1. because I don’t own anything like it and 2. it will transition beautifully to fall. I can picture it with a cozy cardigan and ankle boots when the temps drop (we are in the high 90’s this week, so probably not soon?).

It has pockets, it’s comfy, and for $35 bucks what’s not to love? Covid has ruined any desire I ever had to wear pants (let alone fitted ones) so dresses it is for the rest of 2020. Amen?
