I looked up and it was July! This year has felt like a timing twilight zone. I never know what day it is, and I rarely know what month it is. Between COVID and lots of health-related things, I’ve been living at a much slower pace. While I honestly can’t say I’ve hated it, things are picking up again and it feels good. Dan and I keep talking about how an object at rest tends to stay in rest, and I needed some motion to get things going.
I am an enneagram 3 so movement, productivity, and feeling accomplished is my jam. Take that away and I just haven’t felt like myself. While I’m learning that my value doesn’t come in a completed to-do list, there is also a balance of knowing that I thrive when I am pushing myself. I’m ready to be doing that again! It’s one day at a time, and a lot of back and forth right now, but I think I’m turning a corner. I woke up this morning and wanted to create, so here I am putting jumbled thoughts into a blog post.
One of the things that have been helping me start to feel more like myself is getting dressed. As silly as that sounds, it makes a big difference. The temptation to stay in yoga pants all day is REAL, and don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of days where that is the right decision. That said, picking out an outfit is one of my favorite things and it always sets my day in the right direction.
On the days I want comfort but still want to put a little more effort, these pants have been my go-to. I ordered them from Old Navy and can’t get enough of them. I’ll be honest, pants are a struggle for me. With my body shape, I much prefer skirts or dresses, but these are a true winner. They are unbelievably comfy, not sheer, and lightweight. Perfect because we have been above 90 degrees every day recently.

This tank top is thick and has a great fit, and I pretty much wear these shoes with everything. Last but not least, add a headband.
