I am a huge fan of snail mail all year round, but make it festive and it’s extra special! I love checking the mail around the holidays because it is always filled with photos of loved ones and updates on their lives. Can we send people printed pictures all year round please? I want pictures of your cute face and your baby’s cute face on my fridge, thank you very much.
When it comes to my own cards, I love every part of the process. I love putting together the images, designing the cards, and addressing each one by hand. I’m even the nerdy gal who puts a wax seal on them (they are more fun to open that way!!).
I have sent out Christmas cards of our photography team to clients, vendors, and friends for the last several years – but this year is extra special because it is my first married Christmas! You KNOW I was dying to put together Dan & I’s first Christmas card.
I love browsing the internet for the perfect design and I was so thrilled to hear about Lovely Little Cards. They are a local business owned by a husband and wife team (Deanna & Tim). Not only does Dee do all of the designs, but everything is printed in house which is rare, and I love it! The care they put into these cards really shows in the quality of the final product. I chose their “Tru Matte” print options and they are BEAUTIFUL. As a photographer the color accuracy of the images is really important to me, and these past my tests with flying colors. It’s also a nice thick paper stock.
I love this design, this design, and this design, and had such a hard time choosing, but the one I landed on is this one.
What I love most about this design is the passage from Luke 2 on the back. I love that recipients of the cards could display that side of the card in their home, or even frame it for future decor!
Lovely Little Cards is generously offering you 25% off all designs with the code “katie25”
I know the to-do list can feel never ending this time of year with gifts to buy and holiday parties to attend, but I can’t encourage you enough to make the time for Christmas cards. Having a piece of paper each year to look back at how your life has grown is so special. I plan to keep a card from each year of marriage and pull them all out to display each Christmas. On the recipients end, there is something so sweet about the token of receiving a Christmas card. Let’s spread Christmas cheer, encourage one another, and take time to document our lives!
// thank you Lovely Little Cards for sponsoring this post. I am a fan for life! //
