I’m so thankful that my sweet sister in law Jenny documented our rehearsal dinner! When I look at these pictures I instantly feel all the same buzz and anticipation that I felt that night knowing the next day was what we had been planning for for a year! Dan’s wonderful parents put together such a wonderful night and we were so thankful for it! I’m gonna be honest, I don’t remember a whole lot about the evening because I was a bundle of nerves but I remember 1. never wanting to let go of Dan’s hand. As long as we were holding hands I was okay, but as soon as he would let go I would get anxious and sweaty! 2. Sitting at dinner looking around and feeling overwhelmed with gratitude for the people in our life. I know it’s rare to have two people as close with their families as Dan and I are and that is not something I take for granted. We have the best community of family and friends and we are so so incredibly thankful.
Dan drove me back to my parents house that night and I was so thankful for that sweet 30 minute car ride where we just got to be together and savor the evening. I don’t remember what we talked about, but I will always remember how at peace I felt whenever I was side by side with Dan throughout our rehearsal, the drive, and then our wedding day.
On a more lighthearted note – I searched high and low for a white dress that would still work in wintertime for our rehearsal – but the second I saw this Gal Meets Glam dress I was SOLD. It’s at the top of the list of favorite things I will ever own.
