A few weeks back I snagged this plaid jacket from a local boutique – Francis Jaye – and I can’t stop wearing it! I was worried I wouldn’t get enough wear out of it and instead have been pleasantly surprised to find it incredibly versatile!
I mentioned in this post that I’ve found sort of a formula to determine if something fit’s into my personal style. At first glance this jacket is a statement piece, but it actually fits all of my criteria. Feminine, a flattering shape, classic colors (jewel tones with a mix of neutrals), and I can picture someone in the 1920-40’s wearing it. I went for it and have been so glad I did!
I’ve found that it actually works with a ton in my closet. This striped t shirt, a navy sweater, a black sweater, formal dresses, etc. Here are two ways I love it styled!
