At the first workshop I went to about blogging, one of the panelist was asked what she didn’t expect about blogging. Her answer was simple and confidant stating she didn’t expect to meet her best friends. I didn’t think much of it at the time, but have thought about it often since. There is something so sweet and unique about connecting with other bloggers and creative business owners. I have had the privilege of connecting with different creatives all over Grand Rapids and am grateful every day for these new friends. We have similar minds and are able to talk about mutual struggles, successes, peaks, and pits. A few months back I received a message from Gabby, and I’m so very grateful I did. What started as one breakfast has now turned into weekly breakfast dates. She has brought so much joy to my life in the few weeks I have known her! We have so much fun every week eating breakfast, drinking coffee, and wandering around shooting pictures for each others blogs. Gabby has also introduced me to Chelsea who is a gem as well (can we talk about this blog post for a sec…cause for real. #sherocks #imwithchel)! P.s. You should have seen us in Nonna Cafe taking up the entire exit trying to get these pictures. My tart matched my outfit people…these things need to be documented. People probably hate us. It’s great. So what I have to say is this. If you like someone’s blog, email them. If you like someone’s business, email them. If you like someone’s Instagram, email them. You never know what can come from one simple message!

Love this! I am having a similar experience. My best friends are people I met through my blog/social media. It’s so much fun being a creative!
