The Lord has shown me time and time again in the last year that His plan is far better than mine. He has taken each worry and tossed it aside, leading me down a path of hope and joy.
This song has been my prayer since the day I graduated high school. I went to a Bethel concert about a week before graduation, and this song stuck in my heart. I am often shocked to realize how frequently I forget the power and goodness of the Lord. I forget the work He has done and is doing. Our loving and mighty Father has so much more up His sleeve than I will ever understand. Looking at how He is constantly shaping things, I am left wide eyed and mystified. My prayer is that I will never loose my wonder. That I will be like a child. That these beautiful and crazy things will never become mundane to me, but that I will always appreciate the impact. I too often forget. I too often get used to things and call them “normal” when they are far from it! Life with our savior is not just average or “normal” it is exciting, liberating, and blessed!
We are just a few short weeks away from celebrating Easter and whether or not life is going in the right or wrong way, shouldn’t we always be in wonder? When we think of the work done on the cross, shouldn’t we be in nothing but awe? Sometimes I just need a little reminder.
I grabbed this sheet of wood at Joann’s for $3.99 (not to mention I had a 50% off coupon! Booyah!) and turned it into something to keep on my desk. My hope is that it will be a reminder to stay wide eyed and mystified. I thought I would turn it into a little screensaver as well! You can download them below!
May we never loose our wonder.
